Welcome to Watermark Farm And the American Warmblood Registry and American Sport Pony Inspection July 19, 2008
Judges: Sonja K. Lowenfish 2nd judge pending
Please join us for another day of viewing foals and mature breeding horses in July. We will also be enjoying the amazing food arranged by Christine Mohn and seeing offspring by Avebury WF, Waldaire, Dressage Royal just to name a few of the stallions who will be represented this year! We will have a professional photographer on site, a handler and braider available. Please scroll down or contact Ellie directly for their contact information to make arrangements prior to the inspection.
Video services available courtesy of Equine Photography & Video: Video Sign up Sheet We will also have a professional handler - Klaus Schengberg available - $50 per horse. Braiding services are pending. Our stabling space is limited, so please contact Ellie ASAP to secure your stall. All
inspected horses & ponies will be charged the $100 inspection site fee
except for stallions ($250). This fee must be received by Watermark Farm by July
1st. Every equine must bring a negative Coggins & Health
Certificate to the inspection. (see below for details) The
inspection will take place outdoors (weather permitting) so please feel free to
bring your preferred seating. If the directions listed are confusing or you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us! Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all in July!
FAQ’s
1. Do I need a health certificate, vaccination history and a negative Coggins for my foal? A: Yes, if you foal is no longer nursing off of the mare. If your foal is weaned, please contact Ellie to discuss your situation. No, if your foal is still nursing.
2. What does the EVA statement say? A: The EVA statement is written on the Health Certificate by your vet certifying that your horse/pony has not been vaccinated for EVA within 90 days of the inspection date – July 19, 2008. Stallion owners must also provide test results from within 30 days of the inspection date. All health certificates should also include a list of what vaccine(s) your horse/pony has received and provide dates.
3. Is stabling available? A: Yes, but limited to 6 available day stalls. Please contact us ASAP to secure a stall. If we fill those 6 stalls, arrangements will be made with local stables so that you will have a stall for your horse or pony. Stall fee - $50. Shavings will be provided, no muck out required. Stalls are 12 x 14 and have rubber mats. We ask that you bring your own water buckets as most people are requesting stalls for their mares & foals and we would prefer to keep them all healthy by not sharing community buckets. Hay is not provided.
4. Do I have to sign a waiver? A: Yes. Everyone attending the inspection must sign a waiver.
5. Are there bathrooms and food available on the grounds? A: Yes.
6. Are dogs allowed? A: No. Our Labradors and Jack Russell would like to eat your dog(s) for visiting their turf.
7. Can I bring friends and family to see the inspection? A: Absolutely! Guest and visitors are more than welcome!
8. Should I braid my mare & foal? A: Yes, it is recommended.
9. Should I bring anything special?
A: If your horse/pony is going to be doing the At Liberty section (required for
foals), it is a good idea to bring a treat or bucket of feed to entice them when
it is time to be caught. Often times in a new situation, they can be a bit
rattled and take longer to catch. J
If you would like a comfortable seat, please bring a chair as our seating
is limited. 10. Is branding mandatory? A: No. However, we recommend it as it 'shows off' your lovely horse or pony!

If you are interested in having Klaus handle your horse or pony, please e-mail Ellie ASAP! Order of Go: Hello All! Due to the seasonal heat, we are trying to wrap the whole day before the weather becomes too unpleasant. If you would like to arrange a tour or to see the stallions, please bear with us as we are presenting our own horses during the day also. Watermark Farm and the masterful cooking skills of Christine will provide food & drink for everyone. There is a full restroom available in the house, which will be our refuge from the sun. Dr. Sarah Sprague will be on call/in residence in case of equine emergencies. We do ask that everyone be mindful of disease and dispose of manure at your own residence and not in our pasture (which serves as the parking lot). There are some additional guidelines for breeding stock this year: - If you have bred your mares to outside stallions in the 3 weeks prior to the inspection, PLEASE ask for written proof of EVA status and bring a printed copy to the inspection along with your Health Certificate & negative Coggins. - If your mare has been bred to a non-vaccinated EVA Positive or shedding stallion, please let me know so that your horse can be moved to a separate timeslot away from everyone else’s breeding stock. - Everyone is also asked to fill out a Client Waiver (see the AWR Inspection Page to down load a copy), so that we have that on file. Everyone is being charged the same amount for the Site Fee - $100 per equine (please make checks payable to Watermark Farm) by July 1st. If you would like additional sire/dam/breeder information listed in the program, please email me by the weekend so that it can be finished and printed. If there are any errors or omissions, please contact me ASAP.
