Bred and owned by William and Anne Rawle this tall chestnut stallion spent his life here at Watermark Farm. He competed as an FEI dressage horse, a hunter-jumper and event horse. His excellent character made him safe and steady in the hunt field – even when carrying a junior. Addy was a joy to handle both in and out of the stable. His steady temperament and good nature made him a reliable and valuable asset to our breeding program.

His first licensed son, Avebury WF, was awarded his breeding permit in 2004. Also at that AWR Inspection, Abundant Legacy out of Lightfoot’s Legacy (Arabian/Appaloosa) was the Reserve Champion of the AWR Horse Inspection. Avebury’s full sister, Alexis Carrington WF was the Reserve Champion on the 29^th. Both Alexis and Abundant Legacy were awarded a First Premium grading. Other offspring receiving First Premium status are: Atreo WF, Andale`, As You Wish WF, and Adelaide WF. All of Adamant’s get are stamped with his calm demeanor and noble presence. Their ability to perform amidst even the most chaotic of situations magnifies his tremendous ability to contribute to a foal’s potential. Ariadne was a foal from an early crop and she won the North Georgia Preliminary Division with her owner’s 14 year old daughter in the irons. Daughter As You Wish (x Volante by Volturno) produced the First Premium filly, Wilona by Waldaire who received an overall score of 7.3 With offspring placing in the top 5 at DAD in the undersaddle classes, Adamant’s hereditary transmission is obvious. Son Atreo is currently preparing to make his FEI debut with Ellie Rawle and has been called magnificent by several S judges. Powerful gaits, a good work ethic and high trainability are the hallmarks of this fine stallion.

We will miss our friend Adamant. He was the first foal born to Anne and Bill and will be sorely missed in our barn. We were lucky to have had him in our lives for so long. He does live on through his sons, daughters and their children but we still miss the Big Red stallion.
