American Warmblood Registry scores and remarks: Champion of Inspection (2004) 1st Premium No mark below '7' "Excellent sporthorse type" "Good depth and breadth" "Good expression" "Good rhythm" WTC all "good" "Fabulous trot with suspension, extension and elasticity" The "elegance of his movement is still quite apparent" at age 26.
Again and Again was bred by William and Anne Rawle and born at Watermark Farm in 1978. He was trained and competed through Grand Prix and the last colt from a winning combination of bloodlines. He is a full brother to Jackie Blue, Ruxton, Rushton and Alchemist. Jackie Blue competed in the 1984 Olympics under the Canadian flag. Ruxton was heralded as AHSA Working Hunter Horse of the Year five times. Again and Again’s dam, Nobody Much was a rangey grey mare that consistently threw offspring far superior to her own outward appearance. “Chip” was the final foal from this mare by the elite Hanoverian stallion Abundance. In 1981, Again and Again was the winner of the Three Year Old Colts and Geldings class at Dressage at Devon, as well as the Undersaddle Class for Three Year Olds.
Many of his offspring have gone on to become Champions - including Dance Again, Call Again Please, Affixed, Abracadabra, Once Again (Grand Champion at DAD) and Alacazam- an International Silver Medalist recipient and 2003 PHR Silver Stirrup National Grand Champion Intermediare 1, with scores up to 74%(also Reserve NC at PSG.). Ann Steiert bred her Again and Again daughter to renowned showjumper, VIP and that foal was very successful in the IJF. His vibrant chestnut son, Alibi (out of a Rash Prince x Amarullah mare) although small in stature, was a successful event horse, sire and mid-level Dressage horse for many years for owner Ami Howard of MD. Artesian WF is currently schooling all Grand Prix movements with an exceptional aptitude for piaffe, passage, pirouettes and one tempi changes.
His get are noteworthy with a light mouth and superb way of going with high quality gaits. The fabulous form over fences can almost be predicted from a horse with so many internationally successful relatives. Their talent and high trainability draw consistent praise from international trainers and competitors. Frozen semen is available to approved mares.
At the August 2004 inspection Again and Again’s offspring received a First Premium grading. We are very pleased at this favorable evaluation of his get. His daughters consistently received high marks for their powerful energetic trot and swinging walks. Their good jumping techniques and form were also highlights in their presentations. Among the stars of the day, the following names stood out: Achtung Again WF, Abracadabra WF, Amelia WF and Artesian WF. His daughters have proven to be reliable hereditary transmitters. Abracadabra WF (see the Broodmares Page) produced an outstanding 2005 filly by Waldaire – Wakanda WF. Before she suffered a career ending injury, this talented mare was schooling all Grand Prix movements, so we are watching Wakanda WF and her full brother, Wizard WF, with great excitement. Abracadabra, Wakanda and Wizard represented Waldaire and Again and Again at the 2006 Fair Hill Breed Show. Abracadabra won the Produce of Dam class, placed second in the Breeder’s Group and Wizard was the Reserve Champion in the Colts and Geldings class! Wizard is currently tied for the Top Foal title in North America and was Overall Site Champion at the Watermark Farm inspection with a score of 8.1! His conformation was praised as ‘textbook’ and he scored an 8.2 for movement. Achtung Again’s Waterlily (by Waldaire) received a score of 7.6 and was praised for her movement, suspension and cooperative nature. Amelia’s Wylie (by Waldaire) was also a First Premium foal and elicited praise for her movement and character. We at Watermark Farm are always entranced by the trainability and capacity for FEI movement in his offspring.
Frozen semen also available: $600.00 per dose.
There is a limited
amount of frozen semen available for purchase to select mares.
