The Sales Policy at Watermark Farm is as follows..
We are primarily a breeding farm that from time to time sells some of the produce of the program, either as a riding horse or breeding stock. As we try to ‘place’ our horses and foals into appropriate situations, we encourage all interested parties to contact us directly. We are encouraged by potential buyers who are willing to discuss their goals and riding background with us. This listing does not constitute an offer to sell but merely a solicitation of offers to buy. All horses are subject to withdrawal or prior sale. Our horses will be sold to an approved home only.

Photographs, inspection scores and videos are available by request. Some listings have recent photographs below. Please keep in mind we are also a competition barn and try to accommodate requests in as timely manner as possible.

For prospective buyers – we have categorized our sales horses by price class. Interested parties should feel free to discuss the horse(s) directly with Anne Rawle of Watermark Farm for exact pricing. Due to progress in training and the fact we are NOT a ‘dealer barn’ we will not disclose prices via email or over the Internet. We welcome inquiries and scheduled appointments for potential buyers to view the horses. Prices listed on this site are for reference purposes and subject to change due to development or training progress.

Custom foals are available by arrangement and several of our high quality broodmares are also available for Embryo Transfer.

For more information please call Watermark Farm

2008 Foals

May 2008

~Waldaire x South American Way x Abundance x Viking Spirit xx

Full sibling to Wei WF -- a First Premium filly with a striking appearance and great sense of self. Half brother Ruben EF (by Rosentau) is undersaddle and just a fabulous youngster with a bright future. This mare family is very prepotent and has produced successful FEI competitors and licensed breeding stallions.

~Dressage Royal x Again and Again x Sir George Gaylord xx x Royal Warrior xx

Full sibling to Daylily WF – who dazzles us with her strong resemblance to her sire & dam both in personality and movement.

~Dressage Royal x Again and Again x Ocala Breeze xx x Brunetto xx

Our little mare has proven herself time and again with Waldaire (Wakanda, Wizard & Whodini WF) so we felt it was time to try her with a different stallion. Colt option only.

June 2008

~Waldaire x South American Way x Abundance x Rocky Knight xx

Full sibling to First Premium colt Westbrook WF and (fingers crossed) Wyncote WF. Half brother Woodruff WF (by Wolkentanz I) also garnered a First Premium grading and is now a confident riding horse for his AA owner.

Young Horses

Due to rapid changes in development and training current photos and video footage will be emailed by request.

Wall Street WF (Waldaire x Wallstreet Rose WF)

“Hansel” is a lovely black gelding with an excellent shoulder angle, correct limbs and curious outgoing nature. Hansel should mature to about 16.0 hands. Truly an unflappable temperament…he is an amazing example of Waldaire’s excellent nature combined with the grace and movement of Warkant/Eiger I. He received an overall score of 7.6 and a First Premium at his foal inspection. Hansel stands quietly for the vet, farrier and grooming and is a very sociable fellow in a nice package further enhanced by his long eyelashes and pretty face.

Price Class C

Don William  WF (Dressage Royal x Savannah WF)

Liam is a lovely chestnut gelding who will be quite tall ~ 17+ hands at maturity. Good natured, friendly and cooperative best describe this sweet young man. He is a lovely mover with the stamp of his sire’s sire – Donnerhall. In spite of being in a awkward growth stage at his inspection, Liam showed his lovely movement and calm nature earning an overall score of 7.4 and a First Premium. In many respects, Liam is a gentle giant with his big, soft eyes and strong desire to please those around him. As time progresses, the strong influence of Donnerhall is unmistakable when looking at this colt.

Price Class C

Whodini WF (Waldaire x Abracadabra WF)

This striking gelding with his distinguished markings separates himself from the other foals with his good movement, correct foundation and unflappable temperament. Whodini should mature to 15.2-3 hands. This compact powerhouse showed his excellent movement and earned a respectable 7.4 at his foal inspection and First Premium. Whodini is a fun colt – very smart and quick to learn new skills. Of all of the Abracadabra babies – this colt is the most like her! Full brother Wizard is being raised as a stallion prospect and this young fellow is a mirror of his big brother.

Price Class B

Wyncote WF (Waldaire x Southern Leigh WF)

Cody is a true show horse – he wants to be involved with everything whether it is a camera, a person visiting his field or just a car pausing by the roadside. He is going to be very tall (17.1+) and is a robust, cooperative colt with unmistakable markings. Cody was a star (even while going through a growthy stage) and earned positive comments on his cadence & rhythm at his foal inspection where he garnered a First Premium with an overall score of 7.4. His sweet nature and strong desire to cooperate make him into a superstar even at such a young age. With his elastic and rhythmic gaits, he is suitable for many disciplines – you get to choose with this fellow!

Wylie WF (5-13-06)

Waldaire x Amelia WF (Again and Again x Aly Alice WF)

Wylie’ is the result of our blending of Again and Again’s exceptional movement with the outstanding character of Waldaire. This talented filly does not disappoint in any way. She is shedding out to be a rich red chestnut with a distinctive star, very small hind sock and flaxen mane & tail. Her conservative appearance only enhances her exceptional movement as she inherited her granddaddy’s trot! Wylie is currently 16.1 hands and not finished growing!  She will be lightly started in the fall of 2008 – buy her now and bond with her before her training begins!

Riding Horses

Wallace WF

 (Waldaire x Aly Alice WF)
2005 Dark Bay filly with elegant gaits and that special presence that draws attention wherever she goes. Lacy is sweet and affectionate with people and loves to be scratched. She stands quietly for shots, worming and the farrier. At the moment, she looks like she has great potential in the hunter/jumpers and eventing. Her classy demeanor and spunky nature are impossible to miss. Lacy’s striking appearance (star and four socks) is emphasized by her multi-colored hooves – they have ermine spots and are all striped. She is a leggy, athletic mare and currently stands a solid 16.2 hands. Like her sire and dam, she is a horse who is the first in line to see what is new in the field and ‘check things out’ when there is a change in normal routine.

**UPDATE 3/4/08**

Lacy has been professional started and undersaddle for three weeks. She has accepted being a riding horse with all the class of her sire and displayed her dam's grace. She is a tall mare at 16.2 and about to 'sprout' again. We expect her to mature to 17+ hands. Her gaits are loose and flowing, with a lot of elasticity and scope. This video is at 22 days after being started. The professional evaluation during her starting process was that Lacy is a forward moving mare, enjoying her time in the open as well as in the arena, so she is truly a multi-talented horse with great potential. While the available footage is by no means a finished production, it will allow you to see her long stride and elastic movements.

Wakanda WF

(Waldaire x Abracadabra WF by Again & Again)
2005 Dark Chestnut filly who is a powerhouse of a mover. Wendy currently stands 15.2 hands. She is extremely sweet and personable with an inquisitive nature. In the pasture, Wendy is the first to approach the people and truly an 'in your pocket' type of horse. She craves attention and would like to be the focus of everyone's eyes. Her dam’s full brother was a successful FEI horse as is her sire, Waldaire. Wendy helped her dam win the Produce of Dam class at the 2006 Fair Hill Breed Show, as well as placing second in the Get of Sire group with her full brother, Wizard WF.  She has the typical Waldaire/Again and Again engine and movement.
When moving Wendy shows the strong influence and blending of both sides of her pedigree. The video segment listed below is her after just 45 days of training.

Adelaide WF

(Adamant x Aly Alice WF)

15.3 hands

Born May 17, 2004 Bright Bay Filly

The young mare is by Adamant out of First Premium producing Aly Alice WF by Aly North. She is a three quarter sibling to Artesian WF and Amelia WF (both by Again and Again). Adelaide is a leggy talented well-marked young lady who draws admirers in her daily journeys. She is a bright prospect for both sport and breeding – her true talents would be squandered if she had a ‘dressage only’ lifestyle. Lady has matured into a stunning young mare…simply breathtaking! She is an enthusiastic jumper with good scope and bascule. “Addie” has been undersaddle since late fall 07. She is hacking quietly with company and confidently WTC and hopping over logs. She has returned home to Watermark Farm and is one of the easiest horses we have ever had. Her outgoing personality entices the bystander to make contact with her. She has evolved into a super friendly and very sweet mare who would like to be very important in her person's eyes. She has great aptitude for jumping and this video footage is at 90 days from the day she was started.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05c9iR_oBWA

Addie continues to improve with her undersaddle training and would be best suited to a hunter career with her amazingly smooth canter and soft jump. The instincts are all there with plenty of talent to spare. Of course, is she stays with us, she will be groomed for an FEI career and her price will increase accordingly.

Wyatt WF

(Weltmeyer x Savannah WF by South American Way)

2004 Chestnut gelding with a flaxen mane and tail, currently 16.1 hands. He was the Inspection Site Champion and First Premium Premier stallion prospect and Reserve Champion for the East/Southeast Regions. Wyatt is a horse for the discriminating buyer with potential for the highest level of dressage. He received an overall score of *8* at his foal inspection and has continued to mature into a stunning youngster. Wyatt has learned to loose jump and simply adores having an audience to show off for with his rider. He is a bit green still but confidently W/T/C with a rider both in the ring and in the open. He crosses streams, jumps logs and is a pleasure to work each day. He is well aware of his class and enjoys receiving treats, brushing or just having his feet trimmed.

Here is some loosejumping footage from March 2008

As You Wish WF

(Adamant x Volante by Volturno)

2001 Dark Bay mare 16.2 hands

“Kitty” is a special mare who was bred to give her a chance to grow and develop a bit more during the 2005 winter – she was carrying her first foal! Wilona was delivered in the spring of 2006 and Kitty went to work in the fall after weaning. Her dam, Volante, was a successful YR Preliminary eventer, PSG horse and Child/Adult jumper during her days as a riding horse. Volante’s sire Volturno truly needs little introduction with his international medals, Olympic successes and tragic demise. Kitty’s sire Adamant has had numerous offspring who enjoyed success in dressage, eventing and jumpers – please see his page for additional information. Kitty is a fun horse to ride whether you are working towards Second Level or jumping around a course.

*Update* - Kitty is progressing nicely in her training. In a recent school, she was doing lovely one tempis and has the beginnings of piaffe & passage. These exercises have been offered up in her work, they are not confirmed or a regular task for her at this point, merely a glimpse into her potential as a dressage horse. She is light off of the aids and very comfortable to sit. Kitty is a forward ride who requires a tactful, sensitive rider. Because of her talents, we hesitate to sell her to an inexperienced rider at this point. She also has shown so much joy when jumping, it would be a waste for her to go to a dressage-only home...her naturally forward nature is shown to the fullest extent when she is approaching a fence...she is careful, soft & relaxed and goes with a confident step. Kitty's video is from the first sunny day that we could use our outdoor arena. The fantastic ground covering canter is plain to see and additional footage will be added as the spring progresses and we can use the outdoor and jumps.

JC papers and is also inspected BookII RPSI with scores  of 7.0 across the board. He is a very personable and easy going TB  that loves to freejump and is best suited to a future in hunters. He stands 16H+ and is expected to mature to ~16.2H. At 2 he showed in hand at the USEA Future Event Horse series where he won his qualifier class at Fair Hill and placed 5th at the series finals at Morven Park. He is happy to stand quietly/alone all day on the trailer with his haynet. He has no vices and is longeing under tack, has had weight over the saddle and is ready to back. He has freejumped clean up to 3'6 and rapped his toes on the rail at 3'9. This was at only 2 last fall. He has jumped pasture gates on the farm on rare occasions but he does not make it a habit. He is A circuit hunter quality and moves sound but will not xray out clean, which is why this super quality young gelding is priced so reasonably. He is well suited to the buyer on a budget that is looking for a quality youth or ammy hunter prospect. His now 3 YO sibling Rare By Design was started under saddle at 2 and was the NSBA reserve champion HUS in 2007. YouTube videos are available as follows:
